What drew me to Katakolo was the sense of calm I felt looking over the harbor, with the deep blue water, the small waterfront buildings, and the green hills rising quietly behind them. The scene felt simple, peaceful, and almost suspended in time. I was also drawn to the small details that felt so characteristic of Greece — the colorful handmade slippers, the miniature blue-and-white houses, and the souvenirs that reflected the charm and identity of the place. I took these photographs because I wanted to remember not only the openness of the sea and the light, but also those iconic details that made this small Greek port feel so warm, vibrant, and memorable.
